About the service
Antigens are the proteins that exist on the outer shell of the virus itself. So, it is part of the virus itself. Antibodies are produced by the human body against those specific antigens. The test is attempting to detect these specific proteins can identify people who are at the peak of infection, when virus levels in the body are likely to be high.
